- How to develop your project from idea to script, from script to shooting script (story board), from shooting to final editing and sound design and from this to fully, internationally financed, festival presentable and commercially attractive film.
- Learners will be taught to formulate their ideas in film language, how to explain them to your colleagues (actors, cameramen, editors…) and also learn how to groom and pitch the projects in order to get funds.
- Your diploma will be your portfolio in which you’ll have 6 short, professionally produced and made films that will open the doors of international festivals as well as professional filmmaking work in Indonesia or abroad. This way you’ll be able to apply, from the very first month in the programme, what you have been learning.
On this road they will be guided by the head of artistic, professor Faruk Loncarevic, award winning filmmaker from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country that has been for decades a film miracle in Europe and the World.
Faruk is a miracle in himself, making two films on a shoestring and winning international awards and next productions merely through quality of his films. He has also been a film educator for 10 years now, at prestigious Academy Of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, whose alumni hold an Academy Award, Cannes Film Festival Awards, Berlin Film Festival Awards and hundreds of thousands of spectators around the world.
Faruk will be the principal mentor of aspirants’ work, but internationally and regionally renowned writers, directors, editors and directors of photography would come to hold two weeks workshops, especially around the time when it is due for the aspirants to make their film studies. They will be five film exercises and then, as a final project (there won’t be any grades for other subjects), a short fiction film/feature film. The best short films will be forwarded for the world festivals, especially European prestigious A festivals (Venice, Cannes, Berlin).
